Veronica's Veil (six)
from Stations of the Cross
Watercolor on paper

Statement: This is one of fourteen paintings that were done in sequence, as a meditation and study, on the Stations of the Cross. Since I have very little history with the Stations, I tried to make the images from my own meditation on the vision, its meaning and interpretation for me. It does not seem that a face impress itself, but rather the agony of that instant would be screaming.

Bio: I am a retired woman who is still searching for the dream of inventing images to share. I studied fine art
at the University of Minnesota and at the Cranbrook Academy of Art. For a time I supported myself as a watercolorist, and I spent most of my career in the graphic arts.
