Statement:
This image had
been in my mind for some time, and the announcement of this
exhibition spurred me to write this vision in pigment on
paper. There is no prayer without its blessing, no blessing
without its prayer. Anguish like that of Rachel, of Hannah, of
Mary, poured out in prayer, becomes a blessing for
generations.
Bio: Tobias Stanislas is a friar of the Brotherhood of Saint
Gregory and a priest who serves a parish in the Bronx, New
