Trinity ... and Me

Finding freedom in form is an idea that has fascinated me for many years and has been my focus, and all the beautiful koi that swim in their ponds exemplify this concept. Finding freedom in form is what one finds when one discovers God, and it is what one continues to discover and rediscover as one grows in knowing Christ.

This painting, "Trinity … and me," reflects the 2006 General Convention's all around theme of "Growing in Christ" because of the finding freedom in form idea, and also because of the composition itself: the use of the ichthys (representative of God in all aspects), the circular and triangular shapes (Trinity/God/ Christ), the various shades of green (things that grow), and the water (baptism/new life).
