Woman's Spirit Rising

Woman's Spirit Rising is a celebration of both New life in Christ and the gift ordained women bring. It is an image filled with the power of God present in the feminine form. The woman depicts the hope for all of us: Rising out of the waters of creation and baptism and empowered by the Spirit to be fully alive in Christ and fully who God created us to be.

Drawing and painting are my primary language, more comfortable than words. Through my art, I share the ongoing conversations I have with the world around me and the meaning that I see within the things I encounter. I share visually what I hear and see and how I respond to nature, events, and people in my daily life. The work included in this show are part of my ongoing dialogue/prayer with God. Some of them are responses to scripture; others are images that came out of the silence of listening in prayer.
