Trinity in the World
by Barbara Dee Baumgarten

Over the years I have become more and more convinced of the personal nature of the Trinity-inward and outward. In this painting the persons of the Trinity are united at their hara (their center) which suggests that they not only relate to one another but they mutually dwell in one another and draw life from one another (they share chi). They are one being but at the same time distinct as Basil promoted; but more than that, they pour their selves into one another and into the world. The trinity is a dynamic outpouring of energy which manifests itself in unique ways.
