Eye Of Heaven

Having been inside the monastery for a week, I went outside on the first sunny day with my camera. The marble statues around the grounds seemed to lack a presence of Spirit. Then I began to look up from various angles beneath the statues and there was a moment when one angel's gaze directed my own upward into the clouds, as if into the eye of heaven. It was a moment which calls you into stillness and awe. The image continued to shimmer for me with
the memory of the grandeur of God revealed in that moment.
