Inspired by the glimpses of hope and grace in the midst of so much destruction in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. So many things broken. Things gone. Things not where they should be. Lives forever changed. But, grace—grace, it's there. The figure in the foreground is after the 11th century Mary and Child from Burgundy, France, in The Cloisters Collection, NYC.
