The imagery of this event is so abundant and compelling! I have responded to it with several works over the years. The background fabric called me to engage it again and create this banner.

Rendered as dream-like phrases, this familiar quotation from Isaiah 6:1-8 floats in the mind/vision of the viewer, outside the logic and predictability of wakefulness. Colors allude to various intensities of involvement, with warm colors expressing the panic/amazement/relief responses to the action of the scene. All takes place in the confusion of a smoke-filled environment in which nothing seems clear — until the voice of the Lord is heard...
