After The Storm

This is my church, St. Peter's By-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Gulfport, Mississippi. It is on the beach and was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina. 

 

It was rebuilt from the ruins by the grace of God and by the help of many people from all over the United States who came in to help us after the storm.  This painting captures that moment of anticipation before the beginning of the Holy Eucharist, when all of us experience the presence of Spirit and the grandeur of God.
