Tracing the Line in the Alhambra’s Haunted Court of Poets

Printmaking (Etching)/Oil-based printer’s ink
on Fabriano cream-colored paper

My etchings employ the techniques of INTAGLIO, AQUATINT, and DRY-POINT;
I also incorporate the Chine collé process in many of my etchings. This diptych was produced using two zinc plates placed side by side on the press; seven separate acid baths were required. All of my etchings are hand printed. I produce limited editions, with each edition printed in a different color paper/ink combination. This edition uses a mixture of bronze, violet and
burnt sienna French printing inks. The imagery is from a photo I shot in Granada, Spain, at the Alhambra.
