For me the key intersection is at what Merton calls the Point Vierge; the place where my inclination toward spirituality meets my everyday existence. The more time I can spend at that spot, being present to what is going on in and around me, the more I find joy and beauty in the simplest, most ordinary things.  But getting there is never as straightforward as it seems; my path seems to meander quite a bit, more like the lifeline on my hand...
