The Cup of Salvation
I was creating an illustration Luke 22:20 for an Easter exhibition. I made
a gown of rough, thick cloth and had my teenage son pose for me in my home
studio. The image represents
the willingness of Jesus Christ to give His very life's blood for our
salvation, to drink from the terrible cup of suffering, and experience
separation from God the Father and death.
I look at the image with love because I see
both my son and God's son in it.
