Cantaloupe Mandala
Digital photograph

I cut open a fat, ripe cantaloupe, and marveled at the pattern in the middle.
Six intersections formed into a star-like mandala in the center, and globes of seeds decorated each negative space.

How like my life, this pretty cantaloupe.  I have chosen many paths, and
now find them intersecting in the middle, often overlapping, still seeking new skills and experiences. Could the new ideas be the groups of seeds in each section? Are the sections categories in life?  I hope that I have used the seeds well that God has given me. The color orange, represents happy moments—sunny and juicy.

I photographed the slice of cantaloupe on the back of a black iron skillet. Beautiful slice of cantaloupe, you have a story to tell.
