I once had a “mountaintop moment” wherein I experienced every thing in creation—every star, every blade of grass—as interconnected and singing praise to God. It is this sense of praise and thanksgiving present in nature that I want viewers to experience in my work.
My hope is that the viewer will experience himself or herself as intersecting with the whole of creation, as I do. The nonverbal truths which are the province of art connect me to the great tradition of religious artists who see, or saw, themselves as conduits for the spiritual experience of viewers.
