This infrared black and white photo was taken in Israel's Ein Gedi Oasis. Looking out from under palm trees toward the mountains of the inhabitable Southern Judean desert reminded me of the passages of scripture (Jeremiah17:8 and Psalm 1:3) which speak of those who trust in the Lord being like a tree planted by water, staying green when the heat comes. I took this photograph with my back to the Dead Sea looking up into the barren mountains from the shade of a beautiful grove of trees, which reminded me of trusting in God. This photograph is part of a series of infrared black and white photographs taken in Israel to go along with passages from the Bible.
