Spinning In My Father's House
Digital Montage

I remember spinning in our home when I was young.  The cyclical motion, the whirling I did as a child to achieve that light-headed feeling of dizziness, the absolute release of joy – ah, perhaps a seeking for the mystical experience, remains a mysterious call for me.  As I worked on this piece Dance, Dance, Wherever You May Be continually played in my head.  It seemed to create a rhythm for my work.

As a community we create a harmony to support each other in our dance of life.  The cross is at the center of this spiritual dance.  Our hands uplifting each other in prayer, trusting ourselves to God’s hands, the trust of the child, the mystery of Christ’s sacrifice are the ingredients of the balm which heals.

Dance, and again, dance;
may the music of the communion of the saints
lead us on the path of spiritual growth.
