The Color of Rhythm

As with a drum beat the rhythm varies, and when a string of beats
are put together music is created. As individuals we each have a
different beat.
By recognizing and acknowledging our humanity in each other, we
create a rhythm. This textile and stitch piece represents the
diversity of community, and how we are called to unite our
individual beats
into a greater rhythm.
Despite our apparent differences, we have common threads that bind
us together. The choices we make from a place of compassion and
understanding determine the outcome. We have the ability to choose
to aspire to unity and recognize the power of our differences.
